My First Garden
This summer I am helping a couple of teachers at San Rafael High School with their garden. What started as something to do while walking Rowdy, has turned into a fantastic hobby & blessing!
Yesterday I snapped some pics of whats it looks like in the middle of July:
Here is the list of things we grow:
almonds (they are in the courtyard)
plums
lettuce - (all varieties)
kale
chard
arugula (2 varieties)
blueberries
blackberries
strawberries
raspberries
corn
tomatoes (all varieties)
peppers (3 varieties)
sweet peas
kidney beans
green beans
limes
lemons
sunflowers
oranges
watermelon
melon
zuccini
carrots
beets
lavender
herbs: basil, rosemary, tyme, oregano, mint, sage, chives, parsley, a few things i'm forgetting. :)

swimming my summer away
i joined my local pool & have been swimming after work. it all started when i kind of hurt my hip doing a box jump @ crossfit. 4 days later my hip feels better.
anyway, i;ve always loved swimming. i am going to start following this series of workouts that i found online: 50 swim workouts
i love that its basic & straight forward.
