As a self proclaimed JCrew household... we couldn't resist participating in their self proclaimed holiday: #nationalstripesday.

Why the JCrew admiration? Let me explain.

I was raised in Alaska, before the internet. Yikes. The world outside of Alaska was brought to me through television, Magazines, books, and....... CATALOGUES. I am an obsessive person, and was more than likely an even more obsessive child, so my obsessions were: National Geographic World, Seventeen Magazine, and the JCREW CATALOGUE. JCrew offered a view of this clean, preppy, east coast life, which was the furthest thing away from my life. In high school for birthdays, holidays, concerts, whatever reason there was to celebrate, I would always ship off for a new Jcrew item. In those days you had to fill out the catalogue form (you could only call if you had a credit card - which I did not have yet), and wait what seemed like an eternity to receive the Holy Items (i kid). Once, my Grandma did let me use her credit card, and I may have charged a bit much. She has since forgiven me, but I still think about that to this day and am filled with embarrassment.

So anyway, if JCrew says its a holiday, then by golly our house is on board! Happy National Stripes Day, and thank you JCrew for supplying this kid with dreams beyond and a lifetime of quality clothing. :)
