Italian Street Painting Festival
Every year in San Rafael, the city hosts a street painting festival. This year the theme was Venice. Here is what the scene looked like on Saturday.

Nick and I decided to surprise his brother on his birthday, and drove down to Murrieta to spend time with the family. How cute are these munchkins? We had a blast. Thanks Tanya and Andrew for having us!

Happy Birthday Dan! Thanks for the sailing treat!
What a typical weekend looks like when spent watching after my vivacious Grandmother in Oregon.

I finally had the priviledge to take pictures of Regina's family as they grow into 4! she is currently pregnant, and wanted to capture this moment in time with her boys, before baby girl arrives. We took pictures in the Lucas Valley area of Marin, on a sunny Mothers Day.

Another bittersweet visit with my Aunt Linda and Grandma. Nick was with me, and I'm calling him my Handsome Prince more and more these days..........
My first wedding of the year was held on the cliffs of highway 1, just north of Muir Beach. apparently this little grassy knoll is called Tick Hill, luckily everyone remained tick-free. Here are my fave shots from the evening. Such a gorgeous location for a totally fun couple. Not everyone plays rock paper scissors, and has their guest toast DURING the ceremony. Thank you April & Jordan, and Congratulations!
I am starting a "First Year Package", that will document baby from birth to 1st birthday. First up is baby Holland. These pictures all happened within the span of 20 minutes. Mom was prepared to shoot, and baby was happy!
My First Gif!

Abandoned ranch in Half Moon Bay with Nick
Here is a look back on some highlights of my year. Thank you for your continued interest and support. I am looking forward to a very bright and successful 2015.
The first weekend of the year, I found myself missing snow. I drove up to Tahoe because why the heck not, and I had never been! It was a nice way to start the new year with camera in hand.
In Feb, I took a winter-y trip to NYC, where I was able to spend an couple afternoons catching up on art. One of those afternoons was with my sweet Olivia. It was a bittersweet trip - the kind where you say good bye with a lump in your throat, and a heavy heart.. for no reason in particular.
Reid, Sonny, and Mona were able to visit me and I was able to introduce the kids to the world of film photography, and the wonders of the Pacific Coast.
I got to spend a week with Emmet and Kara - living one of the most busy schedules known to man... that of a working single mom with 2 active pre-teens. I think I showed up to a meeting one morning with mismatched socks... And yes, our vendor noticed. :)
I flew back to NYC to surprise miss robin at her graduation from high school... and instead spent the afternoon with her in the hospital. She had shattered both of her heels after falling from a fire escape a few days before my arrival.
Lea and I attended the Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island. I consider this my own person burning man...
Attacked a 4-day Antique Show in under 8 hours with my of my absolute favorite besties.
Here is a pic of Lea reading my small contribution to the book Women in Clothes.
I spent this spring - summer living in Oakland. I did fall in love with the place, but ultimately a bungalow cottage nestled into a hillside in Marin won me over, and I moved back. One of my favorite things about Oakland was Lake Merritt, and second to that was the architecture of downtown. Here is my little photo essay from a summer evening of strolling around.
This year ended with one of the best endings of my life. I was introduced to Nick, and we started dating in October. He is my first serious relationship, and I can honestly say that it has been worth the wait. My heart is melting, and my life is just that much more rich with him to share things with. He welded this shop sign for me as a christmas present.
This year has been epic in its own subtle ways. I am so thankful for my friends, family, and for the art of photography. Happy New Year everyone!
I wanted to do something special for my kneafseys, and Brian mentioned getting pics taken of the kids last spring, so I thought this might be a good time to take their first formal picture together, without our sweet Tess. The kids showed up in pink (of course!) and together, we set out to create a nice picture for their parents.
Framing mess the night before Christmas Eve...
I also took a stab (literally got stabbed during this project) at framing. I wanted to make a custom pocket to hold the proofs that didn't quite make the cut.
