Hoyt's Crossing on the Yuba River, California

Hoyt Crossing Yuba River
June 30, 2017 by Anise LeAnn in california

What an absolute TREAT it was to visit the Yuba River just north of Nevada City, California.  I was completely blown away at the COLOR, and the ROCKS!  Although we could not really swim in the river, we did manage to find a spot in between the rocks at Hoyts Crossing, to relax in the river, while Harold swam back & forth between on, while on leash. I would like to explore this area of California even further, to find the perfect swimming hole, where the pup can be offleash.

May 16, 2017 by Anise LeAnn in travel

When life gives you a 6 hour layover in Stockholm, you use 2 of it for airporter to city, 2 of it for airport business, and 2 of it for walking around Stockholm.  Here are our images from that quick trip to the Gamla Stan neighborhood of Stockholm.

panorama with Debbie!

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park Nevada

March 08, 2016 by Anise LeAnn in everyday fun, travel

Mark & Debbie took me on an adventure to Spring Mountain in the Blue Diamond area just West of Las Vegas.  We were able to hike around a small water reservoir, and with much trepidation on my part (do not like the desert!) we walked to a little overlook, and then to Bonnie Springs Ranch for lunch.

Spring Mountain Ranch's most famous owner is arguably Howard Hughes. But its most LOYAL owner was the German actress Vera Krupp. She was a baroness who lived there over 30 years, and was also robbed of the famous Krupp Diamond from her kitchen.  The diamond was made famous a second & third time by Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, and then Elizabeths Sotheby's auction where the diamond sold for 9.28 million.
