Bowling on a Wednesday

Last night after dinner, I turned to Nick and said "lets go bowling!" He's always up for whatever, so bowling we went!   Here are few pictures - who has the best form??  I am usually on point for the first few frames, and then my game takes a TERRIBLE nose-dive. What is that about????  Nick ended up beating me with an average of 150 - my average was sadly 49............... It was worth it!  I'll bring my big camera next time, but for now these images were taken with my Samsung Note 4.

Maybe I was more excited about my bowling outfit...........  My sweatshirt is from H&M, Jeans are the slimfit Levi's from Jeans to a T in San Rafael, CA.  Sock are from Jcrew - they are sold out right now, but these are a close second

Location Scouting: Old Mill Park Mill Valley, California

Old Mill Park is located in Mill Valley, California, just north of the San Francisco & the Golden Gate Bridge.

Perks of this location:  creek, stage, library has amenities, parking, redwoods!, swings, old mill, stairs, bridge, cooking, picnic tables, benches.  Depending on time of year: tree swing.

Location Scouting: Samuel P. Taylor Park

Nick and I did a little location scouting for an upcoming Wedding Portrait shoot happening this February.  The couple's first choice is Muir Woods, but just we are planning a backup "Redwoods" Scene just in the even that Muir Woods can't happen.  I think Samuel P. Taylor Park is a great second option. It is less crowded, and during the week, we would essentially have the park to ourselves.   Nick and I stayed off the trails, and stuck to the campgrounds where we would have easy access to a car filled with gear, props, etc.  These pictures were taken with my Samsung Note 4, filtered with VSCO for lightroom: Kodak Gold-100, and are simply "ideas" or scenes.  Mentally insert a happy couple into any of these pictures to get a better idea of the park.

Tahoe Donner Trip

Spent a weekend with Matt, Ryan & the dogs in Tahoe Donner.  Didn't really bring the camera out much, but when I did, here's what I captured:

Christmas 2015

Nick and I spent our first christmas together this year in San Rafael, CA.  After opening presents, we indulged in homemade cinnamon buns (a family tradition on nicks side), and then went for a walk to sort of feel OK about our cinnamon bun consumption.  We had bodie the chocolate lab with us for a few days, so that helped get us out of the house.    Around noon we drove up to Monte Rio to visit his mothers families old stomping grounds.  We then had an early dinner at the Union Hotel in Occidental. That night, we compared and talked about our shared goals, plans, visions, etc.  Overall it was a very enjoyable christmas day. I'm glad to call him my sweety.

Feist Family Part 4

One of my favorite clients - the Fantastick Feist Family! This year we decided to snap pics at Marin Civic Center Lagoon.  Thank you Kirstie for making a beautiful family and letting me take pictures of you every year.  xoxoxo.

The Marin Gardeners Club in San Rafael was a delightful backdrop for this Mother and three daughters.
